Bristol Indoor Bowling Club, located at 198 South Liberty Lane in Ashton Vale is a modern air conditioned international standard 9 rink indoor bowling club with a large function room which is available for hire.
Accessible from Winterstoke Road and from the South Bristol Link Road.
Welcome
We welcome new members from the age of 7 to 99+.
Economically priced refreshments are available whenever the club is open and a large function room is available for dining or special events.
For those visiting the club for the first time there are “indoor bowls club” road signs showing the route off Winterstoke Road or off the South Bristol link road. Post code BS3 2TY inserted into the sat nav or smart phone will direct you to the club entrance off South Liberty Lane. We are at the end of the No.24 bus route.
The club provides a warm friendly welcome to all, with a generous amount of free parking on site.

We are now open 6 days a week for bowling and on a Sunday for lunches. Weekday sessions at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00 and 17.00, Saturday at 10.00 and 12.00. Full details in the web site and in our October newsletter.

Bristol Indoor Bowls Club were to host the Indoor Bowls World Championships in April 2020, however due to the situation world wide with the Corona virus this and the 2021 championships in Australia have been cancelled. It is now confirmed that we will now be hosting this between 25th & 29th April 2022.
Good News:
The Bowls Development Alliance are to use the club as a base to promote indoor and outdoor bowls in the region and provide workshops for outdoor clubs to assist them in increasing and retaining membership and participation in the sport. This includes Bowl for Health, see link below.
The solar energy project installing 370 photovoltaic (PV) panels, with a capacity of 152kW, on the club roof was completed on 14 March 2020 and is generating electricity at a much reduced rate for the club, with excess fed back into the grid. Nearly 50% of our electrical energy in the last 15 months has been provided by the panels. For more information about the project see link:- Solar PV news
