Bristol Indoor Bowls Club, located at 198 South Liberty Lane in Ashton Vale is a modern air conditioned international standard 9 rink indoor bowls club with a large function room and a meeting room which are available for hire.

Accessible from Winterstoke Road and from the South Bristol Link Road. 

Welcome

We welcome new members from the age of 7 to 99+.

Economically priced refreshments are available whenever the club is open.  A large function room is available to hire for dining or special events.  A small meeting room is also available.

For those visiting the club for the first time there are “indoor bowls club” road signs showing the route off Winterstoke Road or off the South Bristol link road.  Post code BS3 2TY inserted into the sat nav or smart phone will direct you to the club entrance off South Liberty Lane.  We are at the end of the No.24 bus route.

The club provides a warm friendly welcome to all, with a generous amount of free parking on site.

Bristol now has a Clean Air Zone, which if your vehicle is not compliant will affect people coming across town and from the North.  Avoid the city centre at the very end of the M32, A4, A37, A38 and the Portway.  See the council website link below for more information, exemptions, zone map and charges.

The City & County of Bristol Indoor Bowls Club Ltd. subscribes to the Bowls England safeguarding and anti-bullying policies which can be found at www.bowlsengland.com/safeguarding/

Good News:

The Bowls Development Alliance are using the club as a base to promote indoor and outdoor bowls in the region and provide workshops for outdoor clubs to assist them in increasing and retaining membership and participation in the sport. 

A solar energy project by Bristol Energy Cooperative installing 370 photovoltaic (PV) panels, with a capacity of 152kW, on the club roof was completed on 14 March 2020 and is generating electricity at a much reduced rate for the club, with excess fed back into the grid.  Nearly 50% of our electrical energy is being provided by the panels.
